Since the painting used for the invitations for the vernissage at La Sorbonne had already been sold in the US, the artist had to paint this "copy". It was shown in Paris at Art et Communication in February 1998. It is the studio garden at the winter solstice: gothic tracery appears between the palms, and the single star and lighted candelabrum are symbolic.
