The beach at sunset - and judging from the lamp posts and lanterns with hanging towels - we must be in Venice at the beach. A horse and a giraffe play two pianos, while four red Queen Anne chairs invite the viewer to listen to the concert. The sandcastle and beach ball appear almost allegorical. Could the beach ball be the setting sun? |
