"There is something about this rich red clay like reds and deep greens that makes me want to wrap this painting around me like a ceremonial blanket. The symbols seem to indicate trees, and fruit, such as peaches (the warm ochre’s sharing their essence with those elemental reds). Even though I had specific feelings about this work, it was purchased by a collector who saw it as “Tuscan,” and had it framed magnificently for their very opulent 17th century Venetian dining room. But another Indian geometric found its way into their breathtaking home’s foyer and staircase, and they can converse when the house is quiet, I think.
