There it is…New York with its canopied entrances, and Central Park with its toy sailboats, but (surprise), in the middle is a diaphanous piano! Looking toward the street, on the left, one can imagine the improvisational jazz that these urbanites silhouetted against doorways have heard. The red-outlined piano and the red-outlined arches are one side of New York; the triangles of the nocturnal sailboats and the Brooklyn Bridge on the right are another face. Behind are the towering buildings that make New York a megalithic panorama.
